Charmian Sittambalam, MD

Dr. Charmian Sittambalam is a dual board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve their best health, while practicing preventative medicine to attain cognitive and functional stability for many years to come.

She previously practiced at Medstar Medical Group, initially as a primary care physician, teaching Faculty for the Medstar Health Internal Medical Residency program, and as an Assistant Professor with Georgetown University Medical Center. She then subsequently practiced as the Division Chief of Geriatric Medicine with a special interest in managing inpatients with a variety of issues including delirium, dementia, polypharmacy, falls, and many other geriatric syndromes.

She will be seeing outpatients at the Reisterstown Road and Rotunda office locations.

Residency: Medstar Union Memorial Hospital, Internal Medicine (2014)

Medical School: American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (2007)
